2025 Trans-Quebec RF Network
Date: August 2025
Amount: $74,787
La Fédération des clubs radioamateurs du Québec has supported amateur radio operators across the province since 1951. Its mission is to promote interest in radio, offer training and events, and represent amateurs to government. The federation also provides emergency communications in partnership with the Quebec Ministry of Public Security.
This grant will help repair, improve, and expand the Réseau Trans-Québec (RTQ). The RTQ is a province-wide linked repeater network that has been in service since the 1980s. It connects 47 clubs and countless amateurs across Quebec, supporting both daily communication and reliable backup during emergencies. Planned upgrades include replacing aging equipment, adding new repeater sites, and improving reliability in harsh winter conditions.
