The Richelieu Valley Amateur Radio Club (VE2CVR) has served its community since 1967. It promotes amateur radio through training, projects, and public service. The club trains new operators, runs local nets, and works with Scouts, cadets, and public authorities.

This grant will allow VE2CVR to modernize its communications infrastructure by replacing aging makeshift repeater systems with reliable, modern equipment at both its hospital and military base sites. These upgrades will strengthen daily operations, improve reliability during emergencies, and support community events such as the provincial hot air balloon festival.
